Asknature

Asknature.org is a project developed by The Biomimicry Institute. It is an online database that presents biological information as a series of functions. This effectively translates physiological information into design methods. In doing so, the database allows engineers and designers to take inspiration from the biological world. There is an entire section dedicated to biological strategies for processing information. This relates to our discussion about abstracting information from the body. Thought it might be useful to share it with the class!

  1. This is neat! I think this will be a nice resource. I read the article about the Thorny Devil. I had seen this elsewhere but took a look at it again because I think it is a good example to grasp biomemetics.
    Cool post!
